Welcome to Kenny's Stuff

Welcome to my world. I feel like a minnow in a cyberspace ocean. I'm about as blog ignorant as you can get. However, I'm willing to learn if you will just be patient with me.

A special thanks to Elizabeth McGarity whose graciousness and assistance has allowed me to get this far. She tells me that I can put ALL MY STUFF that I want to share with you on this BLOG. She says it will simplify our communication with one another. I sure hope so. What I want to do is use this tool to share Gracelines, info about Grace Groups, seminars, teachings, as well as some talking out loud with Papa. Hope you are willing to talk back, too.

I have a poem on a sketch in my office that summarizes what I want to do with this blog. It says...

Come walk with me.
I do not know the length of the journey
Nor the direction of the trail.
I can't even guarantee the smootnness of the path
Nor the quality of the discovery.
All I can say is...
Come, walk with me.

May I borrow Elizabeth? I am the other minnow in that cyberspace ocean.
I am very excited to be hooked into this site and the connection it provides Matt and I to you and RHCC.

Please include a post about the Grace Group Cooking Class at Zink on April 25 from 10 - noon. The theme is Spring goodies (like peas, morels and ramps) and it is $35. We will take the train. You will NOT go away from the class hungry or looking for lunch. Plus, you'll have lots of fun and learn something!

The Cooking Class Grace Group invites anyone interested to another class on April 25 at Zink, from 10 until noon. The subject is Spring Goodies (like peas, morel mushrooms and ramps)and the cost is $35. We will take the train into town. This is a fun and educational opportunity to get to know other chef wannabes.

Thank you for thinking out loud. Yesterday before I left for the airport on what is almost weekly travel, I was on my knees giving it all to God and laying it at HIS feet --- Until I hit Atlanta for my connecting flight then I forgot for a while that I am 'so' not in control of anything and the old travel frustration, anxiety and the 'mean Jean' came out all too quickly. I did finally take a deep breath and started thinking of one of my favorites 'be still and know that I am GOD' and little by little I felt HIS calm. I move 2 steps forward and 5 backward. HE is so patient and HE is always there anyway. How do I let myself get blindsided? and forget that in the scheme of things a flight delay is nothing and no one should know that better than me. So, anyway thank you.
And as a followup sort of - are we expecting the Government to legislate morals and ethics and forgetting that maybe, and I speak only for myself, we wouldn't be looking to the government and laws so much if we were helping each other more and lifting Jesus higher. I just get concerned when there is so much outrage against and for laws that relate to morals and ethics because I don't believe you can legislate those and it reminds me of the old testament. But I welcome any feedback since it is a current conversation I have with myself. Love you Kenny - God bless

Amen Jean.
I'm listening to the "Voice of Truth" by casting Crowns. I love that song. Especially LOUD. Loud and clean, more FEEL than volume - you know, the kick drum slaps you in the liver, the snare pats you on the back, the bass guitar is in your feet.
Heaven is where the drummer has a good right foot and everyone is in the band.
